Rambus has been providing leading chip and system companies with interface solutions that deliver higher performance for a broad range of consumer, computing and communications applications. The company wanted to begin neutralizing and, to the extent possible, reverse negative brand perceptions existing in the market at that time.
Qualitative "Voice of the Customer" Research was conducted to draw insights and map current brand perceptions. Based on these insights we re-engineered the brand strategy and positioning and provided brand guidelines for communicating consistent and clear brand message.
The brand campaign, coupled with the introduction of new technologies under the new brand strategy, resulted in a four-fold stock increase. The new brand campaign was successful in communicating the brand's new value proposition and reversing the negative perceptions in the marketplace.
